NATHAN RUFFIN
Founder and CEO of HammerHead Design Build, Nathan has been the driving force behind the success and growth of the company. With a vast portfolio of building point of sale displays, Broadway sets, and event design in New York City, Nathan developed an eye for what it takes to cultivate a stand-out product. He identified a need in Winston-Salem, his hometown, and made the move to make his vision a reality.
When the shop opened in 2014 there was little in terms of space and machinery. Nathan explained Hammerhead's humble beginnings: “I borrowed four 2x4 studs from my landlord and two plastic sawhorses I already had, and that was the shop. I knew that it would be hard but I was excited every day to come into work. The possibility for success was there, I just had to create it!”
From that Nathan started growing the shop immediately and clients, as much larger companies, began to see their brand vision growing stronger with the help of HammerHead. With all this success, those four 2X4s soon turned into real tables, and eventually the 5,500 square feet of shop and office space HammerHead occupies today.
Nathan has developed the business into a one-stop shopping experience for any and all design and build needs. In his spare time (like he has any), you can find Nathan knee-deep in the water with a fly rod, road biking, or on the golf course.
